Lightning storm in cornwall ontario 2013 09 02

There was a beautiful lightning storm in Cornwall Ontario overnight, I went out with my Gopro Hero 3 Black camera and videotaped most of it. The video took a while to render and much longer to cut up but I think it turned out pretty nice. Here is a frame from the video:

January 2013 temperatures vs average and rainstorm

It was very warm for about 24 hours and poured rain before becoming cold again on the last 2 days of January . see the photos and the temperature chart for this month :D

Storm 2012 07 23 Cornwall ontario

Well we got 17 milimeters of rain yesterday, still about half the average rainfall for july for Cornwall, but it was nice to finally get some, and the storm, while it dropped a lot of hail on Ottawa, did not seem to give us too much violence...

I went to the local mall and walked up to the top of the parking garage to take photos of the approaching clouds, was nice to watch the storm.. I also took about 500 pictures trying to get the lightning, but my camera lens lets in far too much light to be able to do more than a half second to one second exposures, so none of them seemed to turn out.. oh well, I really like these two though :)

Dry spell Cornwall Ontario..

It's actually a drought..

The grass here seems browner and dryer than normal.. Some of the small trees have their leaves curling up and turning brown.. It rained for a few minutes just before dawn, I wonder if this is going to be normal as the climate changes..

Apparently north america is going through a huge drought. I expect if it continues much longer there soon will be bans on lawn watering..
